The countdown timer commences automatically, or users can initiate it by selecting the 'Retirement Countdown Button' followed by the 'Save' option. Upon reopening the app, the most recent information is readily displayed.

Additionally, the app provides functionality to countdown to various personal events. By selecting 'Add another event', users can detail significant dates such as Christmas, New Year’s, birthdays, or vacations. After naming the event and entering the corresponding date, tapping 'Calculate Time Until Event' reveals the remaining time until the specified occasion. This can then be saved for future reference, ensuring that all important dates are easily accessible upon launching the app.
